OH! MY! GOSH!! I have been waiting AGES as a Save Carson Beckett campaigner for this episode!

I absolutely loved it!

Oh man, I don't even know where to start. I really liked how they intertwined the different plot lines of the episode into one. The Hoffan disease, Teyla's visions, and Todd. It all came together in the end, though Todd not so much. It was clever, well done, and I was not bored for one second.

Kanaan being part wraith was a bit of a stunner, wow, did not see that one coming. I feel for Teyla, but man, talk about character development for her. Imagine how you would feel to be gone for a couple months and to come home to find that your husband or wife has been turned into a mutant that hardly recognized you. That would tear me in two.

Michael was simply gold, pure and simple gold. That character is probably the best villain on Atlantis. And his connection to Teyla and the baby... ooo! I can't wait to see where this goes.

Loved getting to see Lorne again. This character needs more air time, he is so good at just taking command and keeping his cool no matter what.

It would touching to see everybody looking out for Teyla, even though she obviously didn't want the protection. Haha, never mess with a pregnant lady with a big stick! I loved that part!

And of course... CARSON! It was so weird seeing him back on Atlantis. I don't know how to explain it, I've been waiting for this moment for months and months! We've gotten so used (not in a good way) to not having him on the show that now, having him back brings back a lot of old memories, and it feels good, but it's different, it's weird, I'm not used to it. I mean, he was dead after all, but, now he's back and I'm such a mix of emotions that I don't know what to think really! All I can say it... BRING ON PART 2!!

*flops back in her chair* I can go to sleep happy now ;)

This episode started out pretty slow, didn't help that Cameron was over so we where all chatting up a storm!

Teal'c just... seemed, different. Like, he wasn't quite the Teal'c I remember from SG-1. Seeing him again was awesome, don't get me wrong, (though the hair had to go... *gag*), but he just seemed... too talkative?

This episode was Rambo to the core!! :D Both of the hunky, muscled, tough blow 'em up fighter dudes together in one episode kicking some wraith butt. Nice. lol. I enjoyed that!

It was nice to see a Wraith based episode again, we've spent to much time on the Replicators, time to get back to dealing with the core enemy of Atlantis. Along the same lines, I wonder what has happened to Todd, I think we see him again, but I'm not sure. Anyway, twas nice to see the Wraith back at their old trickery.

The second half was by far my favorite part. I absolutely LOVED when Ronon says to Teal'c "You say that word a lot."
Teal'c: "Which word?"
Ronon: "Indeed."
Teal'c: "Hmm, I guess I do."
Or something along those lines... OMG, ROFL I was cracking up soooo bad!! LMAO!

And when Teal'c fires Ronon's gun and goes "I want to get one of these weapons" and Ronon goes "Yeah, get in line." LOVED it!!

During the first half of the episode the Ronon/Teal'c chemistry seemed strained, but once they got to working together and doing what they both do best it really began to work and I really got to enjoying the episode!

Bummer we didn't see Lorne, but he was probably back on Atlantis doing some job or just being in charge with Sheppard gone. I almost didn't recognize Kavanaugh at first, used to him with a pony tail and not short hair! But when he made the comment about allegiance it clicked :). Haha, and he fainted, perfect! Poor Dr. Lee, it would stink to have to work with Kavanaugh.

And last but not least, the jumper, LMAO, that was awesome!! Rodney going on about them talking all the time! Bwaahahaha!! A taste of your own medicine McKay? Eh? And Sheppard in the front with the headphones and Ronon bugging him, that was funny! It really showed the friendship the two of them have developed over the last couple years. :)

Overall, I really enjoyed this episode!! Started slow but ended nicely. Bummer that the Midway station got destroyed, guess they'll have to build a new one. Oh well.

Ha, and lastly... Walter! :D I miss Walter.

Oh... oh OH!!! I almost forgot about the Promo for next week!! Lorne + Carson!! Can a fangirl get any happier?! *thunks*

Umm.... otherwise, my valentines day is going pretty well, been hanging out with Cameron most of the day, and he might be coming over as well in a little bit once he's done with football stuff. We'll see :) I really like the guy, he's super sweet. Guess we'll just have to see where this goes!!

Midway airs tomorrow, it will be good to see Teal'c again... not so sure I'll be too keen on his hair, lol. But... that's beside the point, the REAL point is that as of tomorrow, it will be only ONE WEEK till Carson returns!!!!! Half of me is going "It's a week already?" and the other is "A week? That is a looooong time!" LOL. I remember when we first learned over 6 months ago that Carson would be back in S4. And now it's almost here, man oh man, I simply can't wait. I think I'll be buying it off iTunes and downloading it so that I can cap the hell out of it! :D I love love LOVE screen capping! *evil laugh*

Well, I think I'm going to go study for some quizes due in by noon tomorrow. So adios mi amigos!

Messing around with a new layout... again. LOL I know... I'm hopeless. The banner was apart of a layout I used about a year ago on a game called horseland... I've always loved that shot, it's a picture my dad took when he was in HS so it's special to me (aka, NO stealing----I should put a copyright on it, but I don't want to because it makes the graphic look so screwy.... *sigh*).

Anyway, I love the colors, but I gotta keep messing with the colors of the text and links and all that jazz, it's still very "blah" looking below the banner. But I've got a few ideas, if I can make 'em work they'll look pretty schweet. :D

Oh oh OH!!!! I bought my FedCon USA ticket this morning!!! Can we say SQUEEE?!? Hehehehehee... I am so excited about this it's not even funny! *dances* I'm going to meet Paul, I'm going to meet Paul! Hmm... now if only Kavan Smith would go... but I doubt that's gonna happen.

Um.... what other news, oh I've met this awesome guy, his name is Cameron, oh man he's so nice! I really like him, gonna go hang out with him tonight, watch some movies :) I'm really really curious how this is going to go, he seems quite smitten with me :D

Also, despite the fact that my truck is broke and I have no horse trailer I'm actually doing pretty well finacially, got a couple of art commisions to do that'll bring in a nice bit when it's all said and done, just sold some shipping boots I've had sitting around the house unused for years and that's another good chunk of money, AND I finally sold my saddle! Well, I knew it who I was going to sell it to months ago, I was just waiting for them to get the money. But they are coming to get it tomorrow. And I have a paycheck coming in next week. I just might have the money to get that horse trailer I want after all!! But first... I need a new girth! With selling this saddle I'm also selling the girth I'm using, and the extra girth I have does NOT fit my horse, way to small. So, ebay here I come. I think I may just splurge and get something new now instead of waiting for a good deal to come along. I also need a new jumping bridle... I should play the lottery. hehehe.

Okay, I would love to stay and keep chatting, BUT I have to go to class, then after class I'll be picking up the tires off my old, now scrapped, horse trailer, (I'll be hopefully selling those as well, and that's another good hunk of cash as they are in good condition) Cameron is coming along to help me out, then we're gonna go watch some movies and hang out for the evening, should be fun :)

Numero Uno
I'm a Lorne fan, and a whumper at heart,I'm also a civil war buff. So... why not combine them all ;). We've see that there have been worlds visited in the past that have resembled different eras of our own history, namely mid 20th century... I was thinking, why not go back a tad further.
My idea is to visit a world that is about the same tech advancement as 1860-1880s America. Upon reaching the world Lorne and his team find themselves stranded because the control crystals in the DHD have been damanged, preventing anyone from dialing out. This caused a civil war to start over a decade ago, now the two sides have been at a stalemate for 5 years, neither able to win and neither willing to resolve the conflict. Geurilla warfare, was however, slowly destroying the civilization.
Lorne and his men must wait a week for the Daedalus to come pick them up. While they are there, Lorne heroicly attempts to play diplomat when the safety of his team is threatened by attempting to help them come to a settlement. He fails misserably and his team is placed in a hold. Tensions escalade and when a bombardment hails upon the building the cell is compromised and they are able to escape, Lorne gets separated from his men in the ensuing confusion and chaos and must find a way to survive on his own until rescue comes.
Lots of whump, still don't know how to finish it off, I want a plot twist, or something cool at the end... I'll keep working on it. Just something fun I was thinking of writing.

I want to write a "Return" based fic for Lorne. Obviously all Atlantis personel was sent back to earth, but what was Lorne doing during that time? Not much in the way of a story line, but I think it would be something fun to do.

A whumalicious Carson fic... my own little idea of how he would have survived "Sunday." I think I could best describe it as the Stargate Atlantis version of "Cast Away" lol. I actually have a couple pages of this written...so not sure how much it counts as a plot bunny, but hey, I'm still working on the story, I've got the basics down, need to flesh it out ya know?

Then there was another... oh gee... now I can't remember, great. It will come to me!

Then on a side note, going to buy my FedCon USA ticket tonight!!! SQUEE!!! Gonna go meet Paul McGillion!! *DANCES* OH MAN, I am so flippin excited.... my first convention and first time meeting an actor of any sort not to mention first time meeting a Stargate actor who just so happens to be one of my favorites!! So yeah, happy dance for that! :D

But as for now... I need to go, have an exam today that I didn't study that much for, oops... oh well, hopefully it'll be ok, I feel pretty comfortable with the material. Just hope I can get the names of scientists with the right kind of research they did, that's going to be the tricky part :S

Meh.... this was one of my least favorite episodes this season. 100% a filler. Just, I dunno, I was bored during this episode, so I didn't really pay much attention.

Now, the beginning, that was so, well, falling into the hole was just cheesy. Duh, if there is a hole you STAY AWAY, back up, and GO GET HELP. Carter should have know that, she also should have known not to let Keller up beside her, instead she have told Keller to stay back and hold her legs while she peered over the ledge to make sure Rodney was okay. Shoot, I have no military training and I know what to do in a situation like that. But, that they had to have some way for them to get all three of them inside that god awful room *rolls eyes*

Now, as far as the characters themselves in this ep... Rodney and Sam where fantastic, as I always expect from both. If it had just been those two then the episode would have been really enjoyable. But adding Keller to the mix was just annoying... that character will never grow on me. Yeah, she was helpful in some parts in that she provided an extra set of hands, byt beyond that, she was just in the way. I almost wonder if the writers didn't add her just so that it wouldn't be a "Grace Under Pressure" spinoff (though, honestly, I would have rather watched something like that then hear Keller whine).

Gosh I miss Beckett... all her "are you okay"s got really old really fast, I want Beckett back, he didn't ask if you where "okay" he just went to work without being asked making SURE you where okay himself.

And when Sam was up there on the box about to get out and then fell when the tremor hit, well, lets just say I saw a broken leg coming from the very beginning when they first tried stacking the boxes. That was no surprise.

And as for the end.... oh Lord, we got the Keller/Ronon ship in "Quarantine".... now we have a Keller/McKay ship??? I think I'm going to be sick now... not only is Keller whiny but she is a flirt too!!!

I haven't made a bunch of icons like this ever, I wanted to see what would happen, how it would turn out, yada yada yada. Anyway, RNT is one of my favorite Lorne episodes, so I decided to give it a shot. They didn't come out as well as I'd like, my caps from that ep aren't the greatest, plus it is just a drab episode anyway color wise. But, nonetheless, here ya go, the first bunch, I'll probably do a second bunch later on over this weekend. They aren't the best graphic work I've done, I was just having fun mostly.
